Sedo.com domain brokerage service has brought in another very strong domain name sale and this time it is a 3 number domain name in the form of 027.com which sold for $100,000 USD. 3 number domain names seem to sell at price ranges all over the board.

627.com sold for $11,600 yesterday at Sedo for an example.

According to NameBio.com, all the reported 3 number .com domains they have listed besides 800.com which sold for $250,000, are 5 figure sales that range from 659.com the lowest at $10,600 which sold in 2008. Now you may remember T.J. Demas purchased several 3 number .com domains in 2008 based on symmetrical purchase prices and those were also 6 figure sales.

T.J.’s shopping spree which included a couple other domains besides the NNN .com and NNNN.com’s brought a total to $1,144,444.30 . This number was also for a reason.

Some of T.J.’s purchases included:

11.com and 880.com at $188,888.88 each

444.com $178,888.89

245.com $168,888.88

242.com $111,111.11

252.com $111,111.11

7777.com, 8808.com and 8008.com are some of T.J.’s other number related domain names. I tried to figure out his method but could not. The vast majority of the sites I visited of his are all very similar. They display an oval shape that either shows a flag or an image of somebody or some place in it. Each image links to a site and most are not owned by T.J. . If you hover over an image, all have a matching number no matter what site I visited.

An example would show the lower left image of 7777 (Lizard picture), which links to 7777.com (a site he owns) but if you were to hover over the highest point (ABC Logo), the number displayed is 24/360 and is linked to ABC.com . 24/360 is the same on each site I visited when you hover over the changing image, as is every oval. Facebook is 8/8/08 etc. Again, the images rotate out automatically and change. 444.com and check for yourself.

444.com

On a bit of a "freaky" note.. I took the above screen shot on the site 444.com . I re-size every image on DotWeekly to 540 px as a width and when I did that, the image height above was automatically set to 444!

Like I said.. a little freaky!

I own 200.com. Do you have any estimates of value? I love the article above. Maybe I should hold.
