This report was delayed because whois seemed a bit odd yesterday. It still does not fully resolve, because most domains did not show Name Servers and that is where I get most of my info from. So this report is not 100% accurate today, but I made it as close as I could. Heck that was even after a 8-10 delay of doing the report.
So here is who got what out of the 56 Pending Delete 4L.com’s for 1-16-2008:
eNom was still a player with 13 of the 56. It appears a min 1 backorder and could be more.
Godaddy sneaked one in as well. So far, on day 1 they grabbed one and 1 for this list as well.
Moniker was a new player and grabbed 1 for a backorder.
Pool was once again in the game and grabbed 1 as well.
SnapNames was the biggest player again grabbing 30! Out of this 30, it appears that 11 were for backorders! That leaves 19 that went into there auction service.
That leaves 10 to the unknown, which can be private registrars, tasters etc. A
gain, no single registrar captured more then one domain, which shows 2 things. Either each registrar is only putting in one 4 L per registrar to capture, or they are simply using 1 registrar with 1 domain entered for max speed. There is one more report coming tomorrow. This report will include the same as this test, but the important part, will be the tasting results. Are tasters dropping 4L’s at all. Since tasters have 96 hours, I will be able to tell if the first round on the 14th, if any creation dates have changed.
