Two stories, both are pretty much the same hit the news wires.

Google Takes Aim at Domain Tasting Profiteers

Google Combats Domain NameLoophole

“Google will start looking for names that are repeatedly registered and dropped within a five-day grace period for full refunds.” As the ad states~ So does this mean that if the domain is only tasted “Once” it will not affect the ads? What about the people that buy Pending Delete domains that will not be tasting, and purchased the domain for other reasons? Nearly instantly, the buyer parks the domain after they win it, so with these new practices HURT the people that do not taste? The answer is YES!

This new act by Google is going to hurt more then just the tasters! It’s going to hurt the people who do not taste, the parking companies and the Registrars!

The REAL fix to the tasting issues, is to get rid of the process all together! If you buy a domain and then notice it’s a typo, consider it your fault, and your lesson learned is the registration fee for the domain name. This is the only fix that needs to be done, not taking away revenue from people that depend on it and are doing things by the book.

The ad partners are going to create another mess with this, when what they should do is close the loophole of being able to delete a domain and get your money back. The registry does not have to be like Walmart and take returns!
