eBay, Inc. announced they are redoing the fee structure. At first glance and as eBay pushed it, they are Lowering Fees.. Well listing fee’s that is, but are raising FVF (final value Fees) from 5.25% to 8.75%. They also stated, that adding more pictures will be free. Hello eBay, did you just figure out that by putting the pictures in the HTML code, you can load as many pictures as you want for FREE already?
So they lowered the listing fee from $0.20 to $0.15 for items that are $0.01-$0.99Â Â up to $4.00 for items listed at $500 or higher. Basically 5 cents up to $25, then they lowered it 20 cents for higher then $25 from current fees. The new fees will start Feb. 20th 2008.
This sucks, because they mixed the Good with the Bad. This is going to Kill the sellers. A 3.5% increase in FVF’s is huge and even that much bigger to a high dollar seller.
Then to top it off, they are discontinuing allowing sellers to leave Negative Feedback!!! Are you KIDDING ME! That is simply Crazy! So you get screwed over when selling something, and you have not way to warn others. That just blows my mind.
I am a powerseller on eBay, but not for long! They always provided more protection for the buyer then the seller, but FYI eBay, without sellers, eBay is Nothing, because your Buyers you protect all the time, will not have anything to buy!
