About once a week, I like to give out these stats. These can help to see what people are using for parking companies, trends on expiring domain names, tasting and much more. Here we go… These are Daily stats and are from yesterday 2-8-2008.

Godaddy.com is still gaining massive amounts of domain names since the running of it’s Super Bowl ad. In 8 days since the ad ran, Godaddy has gained 188,168 domains. That’s an average of about 23.5K Per Day! They currently control 23,284,651 domain names which is 3x’s more then the next closest registrar eNom!

Speaking of eNom, tasting is still part of there game with another cool 50K + they started tasting.

3,771 Domain Names were moved from NameDrive.com to Parked.com

4,738 Domain Names expired at DirectNic.com

3,622 Domain Names expired at NetworkSolutions.com

Sedo Parking had a positive gain of 1,960 domains parked with them

TrafficZ.com had a positive gain of 1,083 domains parked with them. That came in the way of 1,851 New domains, while losing 768.

eNom had a Positive gain of 14,980 domain names. They did this by getting 57,026 "new domains" and losing 42,046. Of the losing part, 90% are part of there tasting process. Same with the New, most are being tasted.

Tucows.com had 3,558 domain names expire.
