More Off the wall domain name stats

If you read my blog often, then you know what these domain stats are all about. These kind of stats are not normally posted and can be pretty interesting.

These stats are from yesterday, 2-15-2008

SnapNames.com gained 28,169 new domain names to their auction service. These are 99% from drop catches from Pending Delete domain names.

The parking company TrafficZ.com gained 3,981 domain names while losing another 968, for a positive gain of 3,013 domain names now parked with them. TrafficZ.com has a total of 342,855 domain names parked with them.

NameDrive.com had it’s normal Up and Down, since many tasters use NameDrive for tasting domains. They had 8,398 domain names added to there platform, while 5,565 left, leaving ND with a positive gain of 2,833 for the day. NameDrive.com has a total of 490,013 total domains parked with them!

DirectNic.com had 2,603 domain names expire.

NetworkSolutions.com had 3,218 domain names expire.

Bodis.com had a positive gain of 206 domains, with a total of 51,257 using there parking service.

Hostgator.com gained 545 domains using there hosting service. They currently have 178,538 using there hosting.

DreamHost.com gained 684 domains using there hosting service. They currently have 650,934 using there hosting.

BlueHost.com gained 765 domains using there hosting service. They currently have 415,798 using there hosting.

This is a new stat, that is very interesting to me…. 358 domain names that were held for NetSol customers using there front running, were purchased!

Today, eNom seems to be cutting back on there tasting… but still picked up over 20K to taste. Much lower then there normal 40-50K.

Here is a quick break down by which registrar controls the most amount of domains.

Godaddy.com with 23.43 Million

eNom.com with 8.45 Million

NetworkSolutions.com with 6.78 Million
