Tips for using Redrops.com

If snap changes it, I will update SnapNames drops about 30,000 domain names a day, so there are plenty for the taking. eNom grabs 15,000 on average daily, but they start picking up domains about 15 minutes after the drop starts.

My goal is to not allow eNom to get so many and have domainers that may use the domain or purchase it for an investment get them.

Says WHO? The domain industry is all about Helping Others IMO! People that do not share any info… those are the ones who should not get the respect in the industry.

It’s your dream James, so make it as big as you would like! Read the past 3 posts on the home page, besides the Redrops.com posts! I post many Helpful stories and not just self promote! I do have links and ads, but isn’t that what web sites and blogs are all about? Oh yah, this is my blog, so why wouldn’t I promote my sites? It’s people like YOU, that give the domain industry a bad wrap. Why don’t you post your REAL email? Afraid somebody might find out who you are?

This is my first time commenting here but not my first time on the site. (It’s been a great resource Jamie, thanks). In the future, I’ll be taking a more active role on the many blogs I visit primarily because that’s what keep site’s like this alive — communication.

As a professional in the advertising industry, I know the significance of communication. On the outside, we communicate brand messages every day. Internally, we communicate amongst each other. Coming from different backgrounds — copywriters, designers, developers, technologists etc., we all have much to bring to the table. But every now and then you get an individual who is insecure and feels threatened by sharing what they know. Funny how they are also the ones with the biggest egos half of the time. Keeping things secret serves no one. Not even one self. In the long run, you are limiting your own growth. Here I thought the advertising world was cut-throat… in comes the world of Domains.

I’m two years into this industry and quickly learning the ins and outs. I know that behind it all is the Almighty dollar! But if you want to be truly successful, get a clue! It’s more than that. When you figure it out, you’ll realize that success starts there.

I’m currently working on launching my own blog filled with insight that hopefully will help Domainers who are DEVELOPING their domains. IMO, I’ve seen many domains that were bought/sold for millions but the site itself is a disappointment in the areas of usability, branding, copy etc. — drop the ball in those areas and you could potentially lose visitors = lose $ = :`( Since I’m not an expert on domains, I will not be the one to talk about industry news (of course if I come across something valuable long the way worth sharing I will), instead I will be offering ideas on how to develop your domains, via brand, messaging, creative etc. That will be my contribution. I hope it’s as helpful to others as this blog and other sites have been to me.

I commend you Jamie and hope that you and others are encouraged to share what they know.

Good work Jamie, I noticed you were into this early last year when you out registered me on pejr.com, then I saw it come up on ebay last year. Man that james guy needs to get a life. No point being greedy with secrets, life is about sharing!
