Here is a list of several great tools that you should be using if you purchase domain names.

WordTracker Wordtracker is a Must Use tool. This tracks daily search terms by Keyword. If you can match a highly searched term exactly with your domain name, you have a valuable domain. Now keep in mind that .com is your best option to hold the most value. 1 in 6 people will use direct navigation, which basically means, instead of going to a search engine, they will type the "search term" directly into their browser and add .com after it.

RankingCheck Another great tool to use many ways! This tool can help you out with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to see how your web site is ranking for certain keywords. This can also help you when you are purchasing a domain, to see how it ranks in the top 3 search engines for certain keywords. SERP’s (Search Engine Rank Placements) are vitial for any domain and it’s site no matter if you just have the domain parked, or it’s a full web site. People spend HUGE money to get ranked at the top results and having a domain name that matches a search term is Key!

DRT Domain Research Tool, speaks for itself. This is a Must Have for any domain investor. This is normally priced at $499 and to my readers, I am available to offer it for a mere $129. Do not waste another day without this tool. You can import or paste domain lists of up to 500,000 domains at One Time. That alone is Crazy Great! Then grab domain metrics for all those domains. By metrics, I mean, Domain Length, Creation Date, Expiry Date, you can Auto Appraise, see how many incoming links the domains have by getting Google Link Popularity, Yahoo and Alexa links, Overture results, wayback history, Yahoo listed, how many advertisers for the domains term and so so so much more. You can also use DRT to filter these same lists. You can set many options to see only the best of the best. You can select by extension (.com only, or .com and .net etc), You can set bulk keywords to only see domains with those keywords. You can see only dictionary words and so on. You can run a scan on certain list, then click the domains you like. Then you can add them to a Watch List and monitor those certain domains. You can Backorder domains right from DRT which is really Nice. Well I could go on and on about the many, many amazing tools, but just take my word, it will be THE BEST $129 you can spend. Trust me, Just Buy It Now!

LazyMate LazyMate.com was a tool that I had created for my own personal use, but decided to open it up to the public so anybody could use it. The way the tool  works. You can take a list of domain names (works best at around 20K domains) an input them into the domains section. What this does is basically allows you to create your own database. Then there are many ways you can search that huge list you just put in and find exactly what you Want out of the list. There is a Quick Search feature, which will help you find the very best in the list quick. Then there is the basic search, which gives you several options to choose from and break your search down by lenght, with numbers, only numbers, hypen or not hypens etc. Make sure you only use either the Quick Search or the Basic Search, as the two tools do not work together and you can get mixed results if you use both tools as once. So make sure you only have checkmarks in one or the other.

IP Location This is a great tool to use for when you get an email offer and want to see a little more info about Who sent you the email. On the right side of the screen, just input the IP Address from the person who sent you the email and this will give you info from the network the user sent it from. This will many times, uncover a large company who sent the email. This will not always help you out, but it’s worth taking the couple seconds to check.

NameBio NameBio.com was created by a great friend and business partner of mine. Justin’s goal was to create the largest and most accurate database of domain name sales and allow you, the user to search with many power options. This tool allows you to search the database by Keyword, extension, source, price, date and so much more. You can select common types of domains like LLL’s or CVCV combo’s which is very neat. This is a great tool to help you find the values of certain types of domains and allows you to watch for certain trends or hot markets. The database is updated daily, so the home page is always Fresh with new domain name sales for the day. Check it out!

Domaining.com This a great source for some of the hottest domain name news, tips, stories and so much more. The best thing, it’s brought to you all in one place! You can see my posts as well on Domaining.com . This is well worth a bookmark and something you should be reading daily!

Yahoo’s Keyword Price Tool. This tool will help you pick the best keywords to use when parking your domain. When you park a domain name, it is always best to use a keyword that is fitting to the domain. One problem is, a keyword that use, may not be the best to Use! With this tool, it will show you what an advertiser Pays for that certain keyword. This will also give you an idea of about what it will cost per click on a set daily budget. So if you have a car site, is it better to use the keyword Car Parts, which costs about $0.31 per click or Foreign Car Parts which would cost $1.65 per click. This will tell you, that Foreign Car Parts will pay you Better, then just using Car Parts etc.

Trademark Search Cover you butt before you buy and run a trademark search for the term of your domain name. Once at the site, on the left, you will want to click~ Trademarks, then Search TM Database. Then click New User Form Search (Basic). Then type in your exact term and hit Submit Query.

Thanks to share your experience about these domainer tools.

Regarding the keyword search popularity tool I think that KeywordDiscovery is really better. Wordtracker don’t give results for terms composed of 2, 3, 4 terms and for terms having a poor search popularity. We tested both services API for months before select KeywordDiscovery for our DomainValuation.com
, DomainScore.com and PremiumDomains.com services.

And because most domainers don’t have domain with strong search popularity then they will feel the Wordtracker lack of data.

The big lack is that Yahoo did notv release the promised API about his Overture search tool and the paid API option…

Thanks for the kind note about Domaining.com, always appreciated.
