Off the wall domain stats

Hello everybody! I was feeling a little better this morning, so I thought I would make a post or two. I am still pretty sore and well medicated but overall I am doing pretty well. I have to head back to the dentist today to have a couple touch up things done (grind down a high spot on a crown) and then off tomorrow to have the wisdom tooth that has a sist pulled. So now was the best time of any to make a post. I have not done my off the wall domain stats in a bit, so I figured I would do those.

These are stats from Yesterday (4-22-2008) that you normally do not see.

NetworkSolutions.com currently has a total of 81,047 "expired" domain names. Nearly all of these are listed on NameJet.com in the Pre-Release auction section.

Tucows.com currently has a total of 73,490 "expired" domain names and that does not include the .org extension. As I said before, any "gems" will most likely be Kept by Tucows to build their portfolio. Must be nice….

Register.com currently has a total of 25,132 "expired" domain names. Again, this does not include the .org extension.

MelbournIT.com currently has a total of 31,818 "expired" domain names. These are all listed on Afternic.com with a min bid of $60. Currently out of the 31,818 domains, 38 domains have bids. Only 9 of those domains, has more then 1 bid on the auction.

eNom.com started tasting another 30,000+ domain names!

Big movements are still happening between parking companies. I think most domainers are starting to see their parking rev going down, which is making them move their domains around to see if they can better it.

3,122 domains were moved from RevenueDirect.com TO Parked.com

1,987 domains were moved from Parked.com TO TrafficZ.com

1,289 domains were moved from NameDrive.com TO SedoParking

949 domains were moved from Parked.com TO Fabulous.com

878 domains were moved from NameDrive.com to HostGator.com which is interesting to me and more proof that domainers are Developing more and more domain names.

Godaddy.com keeps KICKING DOWN all other registrars and putting HUGE numbers up. The following are 30 day Positive Gains.

  • Godaddy, 626,999 WOW
  • eNom, 101,997
  • Network Solutions, -4,162 Yes that is a Negative Number
  • Tucows, 33,682
  • Melbourne IT, 13,773
  • 1and1, 54,396
  • Wild West Domains (Godaddy) 45,932
  • Moniker, -36,800 interesting…. Another minus number and a big one at that.
  • Register.com, 8,507
  • Public Domain Registry, 35,205

Now you are brought back up to speed. I really like looking at these numbers as I find them helpful and interesting all at the same time.

Well, you seem to have things up and running pretty well even while sedated!!!
I have been moving my domains around a bit too trying to look for the best niche parking.
I use Domainembarking for the majority of my domains because they offer a built out site (based on a template) that includes news, blogs, videos etc..for very little money…
However, they do not accept gambling, adult content, or tobacco related sites. NOT that I am heavily into the naughty stuff, but I have a few…
Can you tell me which are the best parking companies for Adult or Gambling domains??

**Jamie Says**

I would use Parked.com for the adult and Fabulous.com Gambling domains. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I just took care of it! It will take a few days to go live but I can’t wait to see what the ppcs will be. I have to admit that I have let a few domains go dormant recently and I need to get everything up and running again.
Obviously your stats from this morning show that a lot of us are trying some new things… If anyone hits on a nugget let the rest of us know!
I will give these gambling domains a few weeks and report on traffic and ppcs at Parked.
