There was a nice selection of .biz domains today on TDNAM.com (Godaddy.com’s auction house). Several nice GEO domain names and several nice keyword domains.
- Detroit.biz ended for just over $5,000
- Calgery.biz went for just over $3,000
- Anaheim.biz went for just over $3,000
- SexToys.biz went for $405
There were several others like HighSchool.biz but I didn’t see what they went for. The reason I say Went For instead of SOLD is because the old owner still has 7 days to reclaim the domains.
NameJet.com is also getting into the action with several expired .biz domains as well. These have just went into private auction, so these prices will grow over the next 3 days. Events.biz current price of $399. Paris.biz current price of $2,300. Bars.biz $223.
These are all pretty high prices for .biz and my "test" with a .biz has not gone all that great for SEO. The only Search Engine that likes .biz at all is MSN by my test and Yahoo a little. I am only currently ranked 49th on Yahoo for my term. I am ranked 6th on MSN and not ranked at all on Google for my test site.
It is also to note, all the "good" expired .biz domain names that were on auction today at TDNAM were owned by the same entity who looks to own several hundred domain names total. Gogog Inc.
