Pizza.com follow up. What has the new owner done with it?

After spending several million dollars on the domain name, I figured there would be a new sleek design with several great partnerships with some of the leading chains in the pizza biz….

Nope, National A-1 must of got the "site" with the domain as well and kept up the old site. It looks like they might of moved a couple small things around a little to make room for the right sidebar adsense, but that’s it.

This is what the site looked like in 2007 and what it looks like today with a new owner.

They are either testing to see how the site does with it’s current past design or are gathering advertisers and working on a new site design. I would bet it stays nearly the same… unless they get bitten by the Parking Rev like others are.

I think just adding affilites would pay off… 4 box ads with the 4 largest pizza chains and affiliate link them.

Jamie,

I think the today version is much improved over the
2007 version which looked like it was pasted together with scissors and glue.

Patrick

P.S. Your consistently thoughtful and insightful posts are much appreciated.

Thank you for the kind words Patrick! It means a lot. As for the 2007 site, I think it is nearly exactly the same, but it just looks a bit different due to it being an Archive.org page now. I know certain graphics and headers can be missing, but I think it looks nearly 100% the same. Unless I missed something when I looked at it, which very well could be. ;)

Was the sale verified? I remember reading somewhere that the sale didn’t go through? :o

Yes, this time it SOLD. National A-1 Advertising is the new owner. The price was never disclosed as far as I know, but I’m sure it was 2+ Million.

I doubt it was several millions, probably closer to one million.
