Now most of us do not own as many domain names as BuyDomains.com does, but I had noticed a little trick that could work for you from time to time.

While searching for domain names at TDNAM.com I had noticed when you search for an exact domain via the search box, many times the domain you are searching for comes up, as well as the exact match of the domain in another extension(s).

So what I noticed, is BuyDomains must use a software to track expired domains at TDNAM that are at auction. They run a "compare" to their list of domains they own and list "exact matching" domains for sale during this same period on TDNAM.

So when a user types in the domain in the search box, they are not only seeing the expired domain they are looking for, but also the same domain in another extension with a buy it now that BuyDomains owns.

I have come across this many times on other domains as well.

An example is "iipr". IIPR.com is a current expired domain listed on TDNAM, but you will also see IIPR.net listed for the same amount of time as the .com expired auction. If you check whois for iipr.net, BuyDomains.com is the owner.

This is not a bad idea, as your domain will get a lot more "eye’s" on it then just a normal listing. You may also run into a buyer that wants the domain in as many extensions as they can. Your domain could also be More Valuable then the expired auction or if the expired auction price get’s to high, interested parties may opt for your domain if it’s priced lower!
