Another flaw in Sedo.com new features

I’m sure you heard several times already about a couple new features Sedo has rolled out. Some are good and some are not so good depending on who you ask.

Anytime somebody "Rates" somebody, their are going to be issues. I have 3 out of 5 stars, not bad but not that great either. How they come up with this rating, I am not sure but I know it could really effect a sale or potential sale if a good seller get’s a rating of 1 or 2 for whatever reason.

Just below the Sellers Rating is a feature to View more domains by this seller. (this is an option you can select and is in the Discription area under Domain Management, then clicking on a domain)  So today I checked out one of my domain listings and clicked the "view more domains by this seller". What?, their are domains listed that I do not even own!

Their were at least 5 domains that I do not own, that were in the first 2 pages and that was all I looked at. These were domains that I had listed at One Point on Sedo, but were removed a long time ago from my account (most a year or more ago). I verified by typing the domains in my control panel and no domains showed up.

This is a flaw that can make a seller Look Very Bad. If an interested party looks at whois to confirm ownership of a couple domains in a sellers account and happens to pick one domain that is Not owned by you, but Sedo is showing it is…… this could make YOU look bad and not Sedo (the one with the Error!)

This can also look bad if a seller views one of your domains and under Meet the seller,  see’s your Country of origin, then views "more domains from This Seller" and the next domain shows a different Country of origin because the domain is Not owned by you and is listed incorrectly by Sedo….

I would suggest for now, put a checkmark by: Do not link to my entire portfolio from this offer page

Hi Jamie, where do you see this option, mine don’t show a link to my portfolio (nor do I would it to).

Thanks

Hi Gazzip,
Login at Sedo, then click My Sedo, Domain Management, click a listed domain on the left. On the description page, scroll down until you see “Link to my Entire Sales Portfolio” . Hope this helps.

What more to expect from Sedo, after they acknowledged the system is in “beta”? I mean, rolling out a bunch of features that are unnecessary, violate privacy rights and complicate sales. What more can you expect!

Not good at all. Have Sedo responded to you about that bug?

No reason to report it really, they never reply. LOL I find it better to make a post on my blog and they take quicker action :)
