It’s been a very long day… I have been having nothing but computer problems lately and if I wasn’t so cheap, I would just build a new system. This thing does make me all my money….

Last week I upgraded and maxed out my memory for my Sony Vaio computer and now have 1G (from 512). This week continued with a slow computer, so it was time to do some digging. My 80G hard drive was nearly STACKED, so that was clearly an issue. I borrowed my neighbors extra 80G hard drive he had laying around and moved over all my music files (43G total) to the slave drive which helped Big Time!

I know… 43G of music is a TON, but I love music and iTunes loves me. lol

So I ordered up a 320G hard drive from NewEgg.com which should be here next week. I also had ordered a new Brothers Laser Jet Printer and have been waiting to get that hooked up to my wireless network.. I figured with the downtime today, would be a good time to add it. What a pain in the ass that was. I hard wire my main PC and tried and tried using it to get the printer set up. After a couple hours of no luck and a lot of reading, I gave it a shot using my laptop. 10 minutes later, I was printing my first Laser Jet copies. Just an fyi if you are hooking up a wireless printer, use a laptop that is wirelessly connected to your network, you will be done in a breeze. Lesson learned, but it did not say any place in the directions that my computer had to be wireless…

Well, a day lossed in domaining so I will have to catch back up tomorrow. I still want to back up this PC, so I think I will pick up a bigger external hard drive and copy/move all the files over to that and install the new hard drive when that comes along but I will save that for a weekend.
