Thanks Reece! The problem with the people in this world is the lack of Action! They can be handed a golden opportunity but unless they act, it doesn’t matter.

This is certainly great advice as usual, Jamie.

I would like to offer up one caveat about chasing domains with residual traffic that is not organic. They do not convert well on PPC.

One example I have is RareTix.com. I got it because it’s a great name for a ticket selling site but I found out it gets about 2,000 visitors a month which was an unexpected bonus. However, the click conversion is almost nil because the visitors are expecting the website that was previously there. Anyway, my point is don’t get names that just have traffic like cohenchords.com because it gets 10,000 hits/mo. You might not get any parking income from it.

It’s all about taking action. The aftermarket deals to be had on TDnam are ridiculously sweet this time of year. Thanks for doing the Great Story Andrew! I wanted people to see it for them self using my “trick”. I have watched these domains for a long time as well and noticed most didn’t drop. Note the line in my post “Godaddy has stated several times they do not warehouse domain names, so this means only one thing!” . I wanted people armed with data and specific domain names but your post provides Plenty Proof.

Well, the cat is out of the bag… My trick is the fact that Godaddy DOES warehouse domain names and my “trick” would of proved it to you.

Go Daddy has been warehousing domains via their company Standard Tactics since 2005.

If a high bid item does not receive any offers it goes to Standard Tactics because Go Daddy ran a script that placed a backorder on the domain. If there is no action at TDNAM the domain always goes to the backorder holder.

OR . . . if the high bidder cannot make payment, it goes to the backorder holder.
