Since I have been building several new sites lately, one thing I have been in need of was a nice easy plugin for making a contact form on my contact us pages. I have found it in the form of Contact Form 7.

This plugin makes it about as easy as one can get! No coding needed to set up the email, which is the nicest.

Download it, unzip it and load it into your Plugin folder. Activate it in plugins and go to Tools / Contact Form 7. Set your form as you wish!

Then you save it. Be sure that the email address you want to get the contact to is correct as it simply grabs the email address from your Wordpress settings as a defualt. Copy the one line of code at the top of the screen and paste it to your page and publish. It’s really that easy!

Contact Form 7 TagsThe form can be very simple like Name, Email, Subject, Message and Submit button (Default) or it is very easy to generate added tags for several different styles. You can also easily remove any default code if you do not want a field.

The only minor issue I had when creating a "new tag" was it did not include the "Text" by the function to explain the field. To fix this, all you need to do is add in the <p> </p> code to add in some text above each field. Look at the default settings to get the code correct. ;)

This is a contact form, but you can use it for just about any kind of form if you so choose as you can see by the right with all the things you can add or make with it.

You can save several different forms and easily access them from the contact form 7 page if you need to add or remove a field or simply make any kind of adjustments.

If you use the CAPTCHA feature, you will need to download the Really Simple Captcha plugin, which is also free.

Just like the majority of Wordpress Plugins, it’s FREE! I have been using it with the newest Wordpress version 2.8 and it works like a charm. Using a plugin like this I think makes your site look more professional then just having some simple text to display your contact info.
