Domain name parking has declined in the past year or so but it’s not dead either. I really do not "depend on" domain parking revenue but I see it as an added bonus!
I do park 95% of the domain names I purchase, but I use the parking system as a chance to earn some income but also use domain parking as a way to offer my domain names for sale via Fabulous.com .
If you do not park the domain, you lose the chance of earning some income unless you use the domain as a minisite or full development.
Minisites and development also cost money, as with domain parking it’s free. Parking companies simply take a cut of the revenue earned.
On 7-9-2009 I had one domain earn $51.38 and to top it off… that was on 3 Clicks!
![]()
The total stats for the day were, 60 impressions ~ 3 Uniques ~ 3 Clicks ~ Revenue $51.38 for the day. That’s about $17.12 Per Click. The number 0 above is "Sales", which I guess I never really understood that number for parking stats.
Related keywords used are: Credit Cards, Refinancing and Debt Reduction but the domain name also has to do with these keywords.
Now does this happen every day with this specific domain name? No, but it does happen to earn some money from time to time and yes, even over $50 in one day. Heck, I didn’t even have to spend a couple hundred dollars to earn this $51.38 in one day or the total $67.31 it’s earned the past 13 days.
Keep in mind that it’s OK to try things, but domain name parking has been around for some time and still works.

Great post Jamie! What company are you using to park your domains?
