I have been real busy the past 3 weeks and it has not been domaining or DotWeekly that is taking up all my time. I would like to be domaining and working more on DotWeekly but I just have not had the time.
You may have noticed that I have not been posting all that much lately and it’s because one of my dogs Tazer has become injured.

It is one of those deals that it was not one specific thing that happened to him so we knew what it was from the start. He just started acting a little "different" by not playing as much and he would rather cuddle on the couch than do anything else.
He has had back problems in the past, so we assumed this was another bout of back issues. Well, it has been 3 weeks and the pain is still around after being on 3 different meds. Metacam, Robaxin and Tramadol. Several trips back and forth to our local vet and never really getting any place with exams, x-rays etc. $75 for one x-ray btw for a tiny dog.
Today I wanted to try acupunture for his back as we thought that was the next best less evasive approach but when I got to this vet, she thought he may be having the pain from his leg (kneecap). We were aware that his kneecap would go in and out of socket but the vet never expressed this would cause him pain or could lead to prolonged pain Before.
This weekend he kept hanging that right leg and favoring it more and more.
So now I wonder if it’s his back causing the pain, maybe shooting pain down his leg or is it the kneecap causing all the pain altogether and not his back at all…

It seems like you have to visit the vet tons of times to figure it out (sadly) and that is what we have been doing.
In the mean time when we are not running from vet to vet, he just chills on the couch but myself or wife need to be by him so he doesn’t attempt to jump off the couch. Just put him on the ground I’m sure you say. We tried that but he just cries. When he is on the couch, it would appear that he is perfectly normal. Try to pick him up, he cries. Put him down on the ground and walks with his back leg up off the ground a bit and cries from time to time.
I don’t want him walking much because I do not want something further to happen since we are not 100% sure what the problem really is.
Meds, well he has been on those for sometime now. Muscle relaxant and a pain med.
So Thursday he is set up to have his kneecap looked at and Wed I go for further glaucoma testing.
In a way it feels like I am now a pet caretaker other than a domainer. I also feel like I am a bank!
I just wanted to post an update where I have been lately and let you all know why DotWeekly has not been overly all that busy. I try to post things when I find some extra time and I think it may go on like this until the doctors find the source of the pain and fix it or until I go broke.

Cute as a button. I feel so sad for him because he can’t tell the vet where it hurts like we can. So it becomes an expensive guessing game. Wish you the best with him for a complete recovery.
