Many months ago when all 4 letter domains were being backorderd I ran several 4 letter .com tests on dropped domains. So today I wanted to take another peek to see what the status is now. One big change… Not all of the domains are being backordered any more.

I ran several checks and these were for 4 letter domain names that dropped on 7-15-2008.

Of the 309 that were pending delete, All were grabbed by an entity. 2 (PLQZ.com & QZMX.com) were dropped 2 days later and reregistered again.

Of the 309, here is who got what (approx) because I didn’t run the scan until today.

SnapNames.com ran 31 through it’s "in auction" system

Pool.com grabbed 145

eNom.com grabbed 16

52 appear to have been Backordered

BuyDomains.com grabbed 3

35 are parked at Sedo and these appear to of been grabbed via SnapNames.

The remaining 27 appear go have been grabbed by SnapNames as well and show random name servers. So all in all, I would guess SnapNames grabbed a total of 93.

The 4 letter .com drops for the 16th, 17th and 18th all had Low Numbers.

The 7-16-2008 Pending Delete 4 letter .com’s had a total of 33 domain names. Here is who got what..

Pool got 2

eNom got 2

5 Were Backordered.

Godaddy got 2

SnapNames.com grabbed the remaining 22. All 22 of these domain names should be "In Auction" at SnapNames.com and ending today. ;)

The PD drop for July 17th presented 25 four letter .com domain names.

SnapNames.com grabbed 17 and all should be in "In Auction" on Snap.

4 appear to have been backordered

3 are parked and I am not sure who grabbed them.

The PD drop for July 18th presented 27 Pending Delete domain drops.

Pool.com was back in the game and grabbed 12

SnapNames.com grabbed 11 and all should be "In Auction" on their site.

2 appear to have been backordered

And the remaining 2 are parked. So they could of been backordered or were grabbed by a small drop catcher.

I hope this sheds a little light on the 4 letter Pending Delete drops and was helpful to you in some way!
