@Leonard,
I often see Google rank YouTube vids high and I'm not sure that has much to do with SEO, but more that they own both. I think it does help to have video, since people also search for Just Video's which many site owners do not think about often. There really is 3 different common searches: Content, Image and Video. Site owners need to keep this in mind.

This topic is certainly of interest to domainers just starting to develop minisites. On the issue of download times, I see many cities with 00:00:00 time spent on the site. I can only assume they have dial-up connections and they have difficulty downloading the graphical template and video set to autoplay so they exit without ever seeing the site. Perhaps if I get rid of autoplay that will speed up their download time somewhat but they still won't be able to view the videos. And I've also noticed that for these video-heavy sites, Google is ranking the privacy page and links page (with no content) higher than the home page. I'm guessing Google's algorithm factors download speed into the equation because why else would a page with no content rank higher than one with content (all other factors equivalent because it is the same site).

I'm just curious if you've seen this as well. Thanks.
