I am surprised 1and1 is not on the red list, with their reputation.

**Jamie Says**
I agree! They just consolidated 2 registrars or I think they would be in the red.

How were you able to glean stats for this? Not sure they can be trusted...

Wondering why moniker dropped. They are quite cheap, secure and solid and doesn't have wierd policies like godaddy (spam report locking of domains with senseless fees). Godaddy is still quite good but I use moniker for bigger projects cause I don't want to lose them.

Why is that a proof for effect of economy. If i understand right / interpret right. There are more than 500,000 new regs and around 50,000 drops. For me it looks very good.
Ok, have reread it, and saw your last comment. Do you have data from last year ? I mean its just holiday time over, so most people have spent lot of money ?! Sure, 60 days ago were holidays so it can be proof of bad economy. But i would like to see more stats then just a current view and simplifying it to economy goes bad.

**Jamie Says**
Hi Zoki. I have just watched these stats for a long time and never seen it like they were today when I checked. In order to get stats as you requested, you would have to grab charts for "each" registrar over the past year (lots of work). You can do so if you choose, http://www.registrarstats.com/Public/RegistrarMarketShareMain.aspx just click the name of the registrar, then change the date when the registrars page opens. Then you would have to do that 15 times, put the data together etc... Or you can just trust me ;)

When it comes to Australian Company's like Melbourne It they charge way to much money for domain name registration - it is a rip off.

The price of a domain name to register makes a BIG impact on the customer
