Sedo.com kicked in another strong 5 figure domain name sale with 980.com taking in $40,000 USD . Sorry I couldn’t let you know who the new buyer is.. as DomainTools.com is down again and has been for most of the day.
I noticed it yesterday.. and pointed it out as well, but several .org domain sales have been taking place over at Sedo. A couple more to report today include:
WebHostingHub.org $2,200 (appears to have been a website and not a domain only sale)
MaidService.org $1,188
I really like .org domains and own several, so seeing sales like these (and yesterday) are a promising sign for sellers. The domains rank so well in SE’s and with people having the "safe" feeling when seeing a .org, it makes sense to use them! Plus the prices are always a great deal less than .com’s.
FaceMuscles.com finally closed at $5K. MostWantedDomains.com owner Michael Berkins sent that domain to auction on a $5K offer and that is what it sold for. I thought this was a pretty nice sale due to the keywords. Why people would be interested in Face Muscles.. I’m not sure but clearly somebody was. Maybe a "face lift" doctor or something like that.
PrimewayFederalCreditUnion.com deposited $1,900 to purchase the likely exact match name of it’s CU. It appears they use the domain name PrimewayFCU.com, so a good improvement even though the domain name is "longer".

I did get confirmation from DomainTools.com that they are down and are aware of it. No word on when the site is expected to be back up. On June 10th DomainTools.com had almost an all day outage due to their upstream provider having issues.
