Go Daddy has been warehousing domains via their company Standard Tactics since 2005.

If a high bid item does not receive any offers it goes to Standard Tactics because Go Daddy ran a script that placed a backorder on the domain. If there is no action at TDNAM the domain always goes to the backorder holder.

OR . . . if the high bidder cannot make payment, it goes to the backorder holder.

Well, the cat is out of the bag... My trick is the fact that Godaddy DOES warehouse domain names and my "trick" would of proved it to you.
-
Andrew from DomainNameWire.com has writen a stunning and fact filled post about "Standard Tactics" who becomes the owner of most of these domains in the "trick". http://domainnamewire.com/2008/12/03/standard-tactics-llc-how-godaddy-profits-from-expired-domains/#comment-291815

I didnt understand what should I do when the domains are in pending. when it's happened and in what way I can buy it in minimum price before anyone else? what did u mean by this?:"domain names, so this means only one thing! These domain names that do not get any bids will follow the "normal" drop process and go Pending Delete.

So, build a list with the domain(s) and info provided from Godaddy that have no bids. The info will be helpful down the road when the domain hits pending delete as you can pick up many of these domains for Reg Fee..."?
thanks

**Jamie Says**
Sorry Milly, I was setting up Godaddy aka "Standard Tactics". Please see the post by Andrew. The fact is, Godaddy is keeping nearly all the domain names (warehousing) it "should" be dropping.

Jamie, sorry to tell you this but JK is right. Your trick won't work. I've been working on this story for a while and now it's posted:

Thanks for doing the Great Story Andrew! I wanted people to see it for them self using my "trick". I have watched these domains for a long time as well and noticed most didn't drop. Note the line in my post "Godaddy has stated several times they do not warehouse domain names, so this means only one thing!" . I wanted people armed with data and specific domain names but your post provides Plenty Proof.

"Godaddy has stated several times they do not warehouse domain names"

This is not true. Make a list of all of those names that you think will drop and get deleted. I guarantee you that 90% of those names or higher will be mysteriously owned by a company called 'Standard Tactics'. Just like Simon said, if its making them money why would they let it drop. The answer to that question is......... They dont. ;)

Are you sure "Standard Tactics" is not using my trick..... Maybe I'm "Standard Tactics" :)

discountfurnitureoutletonline.com has an expiration date of 31-oct-2009. If Godaddy cant sell it for the price they want, and are making $$$ parking it, then why would they drop it?

**Jamie Says**
The expiration date is due to the auto renew period. Registrars can undo that and not have to pay for renewal. Why would they drop the domain? It's the right thing to do! They have said they do not warehouse domains...

It's all about taking action. The aftermarket deals to be had on TDnam are ridiculously sweet this time of year. Lets see if your strategy helps stimulate more activity over there. @Tony - If you're really getting 10k impressions a month and you're still relying on parking you're letting a game winning touchdown slip through your fingers at the 1 yardline... E-mail me, I'd love to convert that traffic for you ;)

I remember your previous post (long time ago now) about interpreting the GoDaddy auction listings, but never made the logical leap to this -- brilliant! Agree about the lack of action. Laziness is your friend! As long as it's not you who's being lazy...
