I am not sure what was on the AAA.net site and I used wayback to find out, but I didn’t see a page that showed what PPC ads were used on the site.
So I can not say if I think the decision on the domain was right or wrong. I can say that as with any acronym, they can mean a lot of things. AAA included!
With that said, I wanted to see via Whois, who currently has the domain…

Well, it’s pretty clear that somebody tapped into DomainTools.com whois with a script for the aaa.net whois query and let people know what they think about people looking up the domain name via Whois.sc .
For those interested in reading the AAA story on the domain name, you can do so here via Reuters.com .
DomainTools has been alerted of the script, but it sure caught me by surprise.

All it is an injection with javascript. What is really funny is that DomainsTools.com is not even secure enough to protect against these types of attacks.
