Here is a unique list of a couple domain names that were once advertised and or used by "Big Business" (aka: major corps) as reported from RobSequin.com and the list of 250 domains used in advertising, development etc without the companies brand name in it.
I am not saying these domain names are "good" or "bad".
They are unique because they were used by big business in advertising (likely TV), development and or may hold links on pretty popular sites and so on.
Lexus ~ AllNewIS.com
Kraft ~ GirlfriendsInvitation.com
Coffee Mate/ Nestle ~ TheCowsAreComing.com
Carnation Instant Breakfast ~ GreatMorningGiveaway.com
Del Pharmaceuticals ~ SensativityGone.com
Dunkin Donuts ~ Flavorolgy.com
USPS ~ ShipItWinIt.com
Toshiba ~ LetTheHarmonyBegin.com
I only used the list of 250 and extracted the domain names using the Estibot.com Domain Extractor. Then ran a scan of those 250 domain names using Moniker.com’s Bulk Availablity Checker. The 8 above showed available to register. No further checking for stats were done, but it’s interesting to see these were dropped.
Domains used in advertising do not "always" hold a long shelf life and really only can fit sometimes with a specific ad. If the domain holds some traffic after it’s use, it should be retained and domain forwarding used to the brand name companies site so traffic is not lost.
Have fun with the list if you wish to do anything with it.
