My contact at Afternic could not confirm the sale or if they had cleared escrow yet but he believed so.

I assumed that as well because I didn’t see a reason for them posting them Sold on there site if they were not.

Here are some screen shots.

Congrats on the sales. It’s always nice to sell a package of domains and seems both parties are happy.

I think it’s a bad time to sell right now…prices are too low. Hang on to good domains for at least 2-3 more years; the wait will pay off for you.

    Zup,

How much do you think geo insurance domains like these sell for per domain?

    Thanks,

    RKB

I don’t think these will sell for more than $500 per domain, specialy considering that most of them are not big markets, maybe more for some of the bigger markets. The seller did one heck of a job on this sale. Congrats!!!

Geo insurance names are selling at a rapid pace. Many private insurance companies are seeking out two worded domain state insurance names for 6 figures and above. Marketing companies are seeking anything that includes insurance in the domain name look for some state insurance insurance to sell this year in the 200k area.

Your best bet is to use NameBio.com and search based on Keywords. DomainTools.com also offers a keyword search domain sales function.

I’m anxious to see how autoinsurance.com will be developed. Currently there is no “orbitz type” site for auto insurance where the consumer can get multiple quotes by entering his information once, and buying the policy. You and I can go to individual insurance company websites, get a quote, and buy, but the companies won’t “share” their rates, etc. in an orbitz type format. Maybe autoinsurance.com can pull it off. I’ve noticed several stateinsurance.com url’s for sale, for what seems to be reasonable prices. missouri, tennessee, utah, and illinois (i think). Some of these can be had for under $100,000. If autoinsurance.com sold for $10,00,000 or so, aren’t these state specific url’s underpriced? I realize that autoinsurance can sell in all states, and a state-specific wouldn’t draw as well. The state name opens up other types of insurance though. Any comments or information on prior state sales would be appreciated.

http://AutoInsurance.com did launch as a quote comparison website – See their commercial here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxBuXTS5nE0.

They seem to provide quotes from up to 70 companies with the use of one form.. Pretty interesting.
