Are you doing the same old same old everyday? I ask myself this question often because it’s hard to make changes. If you make changes you are doing something different then you did or tried yesterday and for some reason that’s hard for us!
Let your creative mind do some work! Brainstorm, just look around and you can discover things!
I look back at things I did in the domain industry when I first started and have not done many of those things for a really long time. The good thing is if I decide to go back, I can, because I’ve done it and know the process much better today. If I wouldn’t of tried it before, I couldn’t say that or have the knowledge gained from trying it!
Yesterday, DotWeekly.com had it’s Largest Traffic Day Ever! The numbers went like this:
2,769 Unique Visitors
10,591 Page Views
79,726 Hits
This is nearly 3x’s my normal traffic. Could I done this just doing the same old same old yesterday? Not Likely! I discovered something that I found that works by trying something new. Yes it was only one day, but I will show you the traffic numbers again tomorrow and show further proof that I hit something.
Think Outside The Box! Be a leader, not a follower! Try new things and you may discover something that clicks! In hard times like now, you just have to work harder, but be smart about doing it. Sitting around doing the same thing everyday isn’t going to work forever.

Just curious, how do you know that your hits aren’t from robots or spammers?

Hi Jamie
Since you love to help, please share your traffic trick. Thanks
Jamie Zoch
@Rob
My traffic stats show Viewed Traffic and Not Viewed traffic and it splits up the results. The Not viewed traffic includes traffic generated by robots, worms, or replies with special HTTP status codes. The stats I provided are from Viewed Traffic.
@Cathy
I’ll think about it

I want to know too.
You and me get about the same amount of traffic per month, don’t want you getting more than me, lol.

Hey Jamie,
Congratulations on reaching a new milestone,
it must be an exciting thing, it just shows that you are providing something of value.
I am myself hoping to reach a milestone like yours someday, and would hope that my server could handle that, how was your experience with that?.
Would love to hear your thoughts about the type of hosting that is required in order to cater smoothly to that kind of audience of over 2,000 uniques a day. Is HostGator $5/month like you see on the right hand side, sufficient, or would i need to upgrade to dedicated server?
thanks
