I hope everybody had a nice 4th of July Holiday with friends and family. I tried to relax a bit and mainly stayed away from the computer but I did a little "work" over the long weekend.
I haven’t been blogging all that much lately as I have been developing several sites which is taking up "my blogging time". Developing is a lot of fun but is time consuming for sure. The one thing I really like about developing is the learning part.
I learn so much in doing it! I mainly do all the development myself, because that’s the best way to learn it. I learned how to use Wordpress about 1.5 years ago and I can do so much with it now compaired to what I use to.
~ A little bit on domaining itself. I had noticed Domaining.com purchased DnGator.com. I really haven’t heard much on why the purchase was made by Domaining.com, but I can only assume it’s the big fish eating up the litte ones. DnGator.com simply forwards to Domaining.com now and I didn’t see any "changes" on Domaining.com.
Since no current changes that I can see, the purchase does not appear to be for "script" but more for the traffic. According to Compete.com, DnGator.com get’s a little less then 1,000 uniques per month. Congrats to DnGator.com, but I really do not see this being a huge boost for Domaining.com, nor do I expect the purchase price was very high.
~ Bido.com appears to be launching Multiple Auctions this week. This will also include the experts having a say in what get’s picked to be auctioned on Bido. I see both of these additions to be great ones! It will be interesting to see how they add in the changes as the site is bases on it’s Power of 1 theme.
~ I am using EscrowDNS.com for a current transaction and will give a review of the process when that is finished, which should be today or tomorrow. I guess I could reveal the domain name as well at that point
I will cover why I used EscrowDNS.com and NOT Escrow.com even though the customer wanted to use Escrow.com .

Thanks Jamie for the mention @Bido. Truly a watershed moment for us, we’re really happy to hand over the approval process to the community, building on our Social Auction Platform mantra. And multiple auctions per day will be very exciting.
