I often notice that in the domain business it is easy to get out of the loop by simply taking a day off when you would normally be working. Being a domain investor is not a 9-5 job because things still happen at 6, 8, 10 and 12 every day of the week.
News breaks at all times of the day and not just Monday-Friday. These events often lead into future investments. Your out "playing" and others are cashing in!
If you wait an extra day to email a domain owner for a domain they own and you want to purchase… what if somebody else did the same thing the day before and your contact becomes a day late, dollar short kind of a deal.
We live in a fast paced world and when things happen "online", they seem to happen all that much faster.
Domain name auctions seem to be ending every second of everyday at multiple sources. Being lazy and not scanning these lists and visiting the services, often leads into missed chances.
Waiting on replying to an offer on your domain, can lead into that buyer moving on to another option.
Having the mind set that "I will do it tomorrow", is setting you behind by a day from the start!
Being lazy prevents you from not having enough time to TEST.
Strong work ethics are very important to have. Loving what you do, makes working not seem like work!
No matter if you are simply a domain name investor, developer or any business owner, it is vital to not lose focus and get lazy!
Sending emails get’s things moving. Making phone calls makes things happen. Sitting around doing nothing, get’s nothing done and can kill your business dreams.

Hi Jamie,
you are absolutely right with that what you are writing here, who didn´t experience it someday when thinking about to “do” the work the next day?
For me as a beginner, that was one of the biggest challenges to win, to think that the work can be done “tomorrow” and I want to be sincere, many times I did it wrong but since I realized how important it is for my business not to allow me more “timeouts” I am having more success and of course, I enjoy the time much more when working for my “babys”.
This is a truth, many of people involved into domaining are not really paying attention for and so the challenge will have the victory over them, there is no other thing than HARD WORK and not anything other than VERY HARD WORK, or you wouldn´t survive in front of the competitors in business.
Sometimes I must laugh a lot about others, claiming or saying they can make a living based upon “mfa” minisites, these ones will have a lot to learn, of course, I am learning nearly every day thanks to people like you, those who are putting their time and effort for others to have more success and to learn how this business, like any other businesses, is working. I thank you for this!
Sorry if some phrases above sounds a little bit hard, but the truth were never painted in pink colors!
Kudos
