If you were not aware of BQB.com it is a newer auction service for domain names that has No Commission, No Listing Fees and to top it off No Bullshit!

BQB currently has 1719 domains listed for sale. Because of the auction format, this underscores how many domains have actually been listed for sale over the past 1.5 months BQB has been online, which exceeds 17,000 domain names. All members are Personally all verified by a Human which is nice.

Currently there are 317 members (and growning, data from 6-19-2008) and 247 sales since May 01, 2008 of total value exceeding $30,000 ($21,874 so far in June). This does not include the $10,000 sale of a 16 pack group of Triple-Quads that sold this week.

Reece Berg, the owner of BQB is also a Moderator at NamePros.com and well known in the "short domain" world. Reece also runs 4LetterNoob.com which is a blog that spies over 4 letter domains. When Reece first started BQB, the auction was to focus on "short domains", but I have noticed now other domains listed as well. I think it would be wise for Reece to keep BQB as a Niche site and keep only short (1-7 character) domains listed.

This is one of the best auction sites that I think can become the next Sedo if done correctly. I mean come on, No Listing Fees, No Commission! .All members are personally verified and the layout is clean and simple. The site is split in several sections including Featured Listings, Popular Auctions, Ending Soon and also a Recently Sold section.

When you go through the listing process, there is no shortage of options to choose from. There are fees with many of these like $1 for setting a reserve or $5 for home page featured, Highlighted for $2 and Bold for $1.

Adding the domain could use some programming to capture some of the information added, like registrar, expire date, Google results, wordtracker and age, but not a biggy because I know Reece will tweak the system with some time.

Overall, it was very easy to sign up, very easy to list and the site has been performing with some nice sales. BQB has been advertising on domain forums and also on Domaining.com with is also nice. If you sign up, please put that you were referred by "yofie" (me), since BQB is holding a contest with the most referrals. Currently the leader is winning with 10. If you think DotWeekly.com has helped you out and you feel BQB is a site you would use, I would thank you for adding "yofie" as who referred you. I know my readers can put DotWeekly "Yofie" to the TOP!
