In an email that I got from BuyDomains.com today, which was a focus email to "small business" layed out 5 reasons to invest in domain names for your business. You can also use this info when YOU are selling as well, since all 5 reasons make total sense and is a good sales pitch.
1. COST
The cost of acquiring a premium domain names is cheaper than continuously paying for local or regional print advertising.
2. THE INTERNET IS KING
Customers now look to the internet first where they can find you 24/7. When was the last time you flipped through the Yellow Pages?
3. GEOGRAPHY
You can immediately reach a broader market with the Internet because your site is always available to all potential customers no matter what time it is where they are.
4. CUSTOMER CONTACT
You can more easily stay in touch with your prospects and customers by gathering their email address and interests directly from your website.
5. MEASUREABLE AND FLEXIBLE MARKETING OPTIONS
Online advertising is easy to track and adjust based on your budget. Dial up or dial down your marketing efforts depending on how well they are generating traffic.

I would say BuyDomains.com/AfterNic.com is one of the best domain sales companies when it comes to end user sales in the domain industry in the niche range of $2-$8K range. One reason behind this is because they Advertise to small businesses. BuyDomains.com also owns over 800,000 domain names and has Afternic.com which allows 3rd party domain listing services.
I have a great deal of domains listed with Afternic and have used their service with several sales and was always pleased. It’s nice when you can close a deal in one day and that’s even getting paid! The average deal normally takes 1-3 days, but I was always happy using the service.

I’m curious whether you’ve used Afternic’s “expanded promotion” feature, and if so, what you think of it.
**Jamie Says**
Hi Jeff,
I have used the expanded promotion, but I do not really think it’s all that much better or worth the extra 10%. Most of my domains are listed the expanded promotion, but really the only difference is being listed on a couple more sites (eNom and one more I think). All domains that I have ever sold on Afternic.com were ALL on the basic promotion.
