With the recent sale of Candy.com ™ and the up coming launch of the new Candy.com website, the owners are in need of a Sweet New Slogan! :) OK, the "sweet new slogan" was my doing, but really, they are having a slogan contest!

Get your creative mind flowing and help Candy.com with it’s new slogan for it’s new Candy.com site by submitting your slogan suggestions via Candy.com’s Facebook.com Page or by sending an email to contest@candy.com . If you email, be sure to include your Name, Address, Phone Number and Your Slogan!

Contest ends July 31,2009 so take your time and think of a Good One before you get all excited and submit a so/so one. Also stated for contest rules:

No purchase necessary Up to (3) submissions per publisher, company or individual. To enter, coin a slogan, of 10 words or less, that captures what candy is to you.

You can read all the rules on Candy.com’s Facebook page. (link above)

What’s in it for you if you win? Well, keep in mind they just spent $3 Million on the domain name, development costs are not always that cheap, legal fees for the purchase etc… :)

You can  "Win a case of lollipops shaped like your face, company, signifcant other, or whatever you like!" according to Candy.com.

It’s only a case, but the last time I checked… A "case" is a pretty big ass box of Lollipops and it’s not like you can go to a local store and get what they are offering! It’s a pretty darn unique prize if you ask me!

What are you waiting for, go submit something and at least you will have the chance at winning! It would be pretty cool to get the case of lollipops and secondly, have your slogan on Candy.com!

When your over at Facebook, fell free to send me over a Friend Request or simply visit Facebook.com/dotweekly .

    @David,
    Sorry David, it’s contest @ candy.com (no spaces). Fixed in the posting as well.

    Following the link brings to mind that today having secured your domain as user name on Facebook and Twitter could be an asset to future sale. The power of generics don’t stand alone any more- but with social media it’s a killer combo. Besides candy.com is already a tiny url so therefore the brand can get reenforced on every tweet.
