Canadian International Pharmacy Association just made a $25,000 purchase to make it easier for its customers to find them on the internet and purchased the 4 letter matching acronym domain name Cipa.com at domain name aftermarket Sedo.com.

CIPA is a Canadian association of licensed, retail pharmacies that has served over one million U.S. patients each year since the organization’s founding and uses the domain name Ciparx.ca as well.

This is clearly an "end user" sale and a fairly nice one. Yes the domain is a CVCV, quad premium domain.. but it also just so happens to match the acronym of the Canadian company.

Congrats to both the buyer, seller and Sedo.

Some other recent domain name sales that stuck out at me over at Sedo include:

Heating.net turned the knob up for $5,655 USD! Perfect for any heating company around the world!

SuperAccounting.com $6,500 USD. Never heard of it but seems to be a fairly nice sale.

Tscx.com grabbed $1K Most domainers would simply "pass" on a domain name like this but clearly there are buyers for like 4L’s

WebCam.us grabbed $1,500

Watch.it smacked down $10,000 USD. Most would call this a ‘hack’ due to the term and TLD making sense together.

PatioDoors.net closed at $2,000 USD. Make sense generic product domain name. These type of domains will always hold value!

EuroPoker.fr went all in at $12,000 EUR

JunkRemoval.net picked up $3,000

Saunabun.nl $10,500 EUR, no idea what it means

500.org $1,350 USD

uKnow.com $1,605

Sec.de smacked down a nice six figure sum at $136,850 Eur!
