The second season of Pitchmen aired last night on the Discovery Channel® and the two main products that got the spotlight were Cold Fire® and Hex Light®.

Cold Fire is a fire suppression product in an aerosol can. Since aerosol cans are used almost on a daily basis by many people and are super easy to use, it makes sense as a fire extinguisher for home use. Many people struggle with the standard fire extinguisher for whatever reason or they loose charge over the years etc. so Cold Fire will be appealing to many. Order your Cold Fire Today!

Cold Fire really does appear to work from what they showed during the airing of Pitchmen and if they are promoting the product as a fire suppression system, it better!

As with any fire suppression product, you only have what you have. The Cold Fire extinguisher is packing 13.5oz and it sprays out FAST! Clearly this is one big downfall of the product but it is meant for small fires so it should pack enough punch in the can for the use of knocking down a small fire. Cold Fire Extinguisher

During test marketing the product sold nearly 1 million units according to Pitchmen, so it is pretty clear that people love the idea of Cold Fire! This isn’t a "new" product, it is just being pitched in a new way.

One thing that clearly will hurt the sales a bit for the Pitchmen guys is the fact the product is not new! This means the product is not an exclusive to the infomercial team and is available in many place already. Most infomercial products are exclusive until they have been on the market for awhile and then are released to many outlet type stores. The affiliate program is not all that great either as approval is not happening very fast, so this will prevent affiliates from covering the product.

HexLight was the second product featured and it is a hands free flashlight with 6 small LED lights attached in a wristband form. The Hex Light flashlight is strapped onto your forearm and beams light down your are to your hand area. Pretty cool idea that I think looked pretty effective. One downfall to the product looked to be "dead spots" created by your hand itself blocking some of the light the LED’s were sending out. Clearly anything in your hand can prevent the light from going beyond it as well.

Hex Light Flashlight Featured On Pitchmen

To me, it appears the product would work as one would expect. Depending on how your hand is positioned and what is in your hand(s) could block the light from hitting what you are working on in some cases. This is just something I noticed in the shooting of the commercial on Pitchmen. So is the product 100% perfect, not many are but I think it will greatly assist! No word on battery life, if it is rechargeable etc in the infomercial or during the show but a person commented below that is runs on a 9v battery. I think for the price, Hex Light is well worth a try for any mechanic, plumber, hunter, police and really anybody that works in low light that needs some extra flashlight power that shines down your hands so you can see what you need to get. Order Your Hex Light Today! for the exclusive offer of $19.99 above.

I think the Hex Light would be a perfect gift for any hunter due to it being hands free feature. This is perfect for walking in the woods, dressing game and entering into a blind or stand. See more pictures of the Hex Light in action in another article I wrote.

Hex-Light.com and Hex-Lights.com are still available. Wonder why they wouldn’t pick them up as a defensive move. They look good, easy to read could be feeders for the main site.
    Best.

Nice catch Steve as I didn’t even look into the hyphened versions. I think Hex-Light.com would have been a fair domain to use for search reasons on the site but it seems infomercial companies like to add “Buy” and “My” to the exact product names when they can not easily get the full match domains.

Actually, the infomercial says that it’s powered by a single 9-volt battery. I’m unsure as to whether the Pitchmen episode said it or not, but I’m pretty sure it did. Regardless, even six ultra-bright LED’s will last longer than a standard flashlight bulb will. Also, there are “dead spots” that are LESS bright, but radiance and ambient light, reflection, etc, will light up anything very close to your hand that you’re working on.

Hi, I am a Rookie in domain field. I should say, with 100 million domain blogs out there, there isn’t a single post on the internet to explain what is a USPTO filing? How to file one? How to defend one? How are the parties involved on both sides? How much money spent on both sides on an average? etc etc etc. Shame on you all big fellas. This field ain’t friendly to new comers. That’s per sure.
