Another clear cut Trademarked term is being offered at auction on auctions.godaddy.com as an expired domain! Digg.com is a very popular social news web site and with a trademark. Just because this is not the .com or .net etc, does not clear anybody from the domain because it’s a .tv .

We will see what happens to the auction, but at posting there are 4 bids with the current price at $30 and over 6 days left in auction. Here is a direct link to the listing, but I strongly advise you NOT TO BID on this domain name! I also think it is clearly wrong for anybody or business to profit off trademarked termed domain names. Just because your an auction service does not mean you hold the right to offer such domain names for sale. Godaddy is clearly in the wrong here offering this domain for sale imo!

Jamie,
Have to disagree with you on this. It’s simply a 4 letter acronym which very well could be used for a law firm or anybody who uses DIGG
When GoDaddy auctioned CNNNews.com that was obvious – this not so much. Depends on the use of the name.

Since the domain has Whois Privacy right now, doesn’t look good. History of the domain shows Bad Faith due to the very first Ad http://web.archive.org/web/20070912184739/http://digg.tv/ shown on the domain while it was parked. The reason behind this domain selling at auction and the price it will sell for IS because of Digg.com imo! Not many 4 letter .tv domains sell and that’s just a fact.
Tony
Jamie, just you bringing this up will drive the price up a lot more than it would’ve in darkness.
Oh, the irony!
**Jamie Says**
It would of went up more anyway, but I’m sure I brought it to more people’s attention and hopefully those people take my advice in not bidding as well.
Shuwix
Damn! I would kill myself if I would lost it due to TM issues or short memory
Damir
DIGG.tv could stand for many short abv. Company names – TM issues are there as well.

BTW Jamie, I’ve seen plenty people complaining that ParkingPanel doesn’t payout. Isn’t this time, when You should drop then from Your list?
**Jamie Says**
I will look into it. I have heard some say they are not getting paid but I also have heard many say there were getting paid and there are no issues.

Your logic escapes me. If the legal or IT department at Diggs wasn’t smart enough to backorder the .tv domain, they apparently don’t want it. Just because I own a shop called joeblows doesn’t mean I automatically own every f’n TLD that has been or will be created. You really need a new hobby.
**Jamie Says**
It’s called a Trademark!
