It is very easy to live our every day lives, day in and day out doing a basic routine. This can be good but it also can prevent you from trying new things.

For whatever reason, most people hate change, but if we didn’t change things from time to time we would all be in trouble!

I started DotWeekly in early 2008 without a clue about hosting or using FTP or building a website. I played around and learned it and still learn today. In the process, I learned about SEO and how important it is. I tried things with some working and many not working but I kept trying new things.

The domain name industry is the very same way! I have tried so many processes since I started domaining it could make a persons head spin. The main processes that I try are in acquiring domain names and sales of domain names, while doing things the masses are not.

If you are not trying something new and are not thinking outside the box, it is time to start!

I have discovered many of my best processes by simply trying it! By thinking outside the box and trying a process, it is very likely that you are early in the game in trying it and can be a leader. People will follow and discover your process overtime, but by that time you have to notice this and be moving onto a new process you discovered!

The early bird gets the worm!

Does it pay to be the "Nice Guy" all the time?

I try to be the nice guy all the time and go the extreme extra mile to lend a helping hand and help as much as I can.

99% of the time I play by the book and do the "right thing".

Being mister nice guy is fine but I think you have to get down and dirty if you really want to make it. You can still be the nice guy but that little devil on your other shoulder needs to get to work as well.

Go out and try something new today. It doesn’t have to be something Huge, but try a little something new and listen to the devil a little bit in the process! It’s a tough world we live in and if you want to make it work, you need to think about You and try new things.

One Response to Do Not Be Affraid To Try New Things!

Well, I guess my new thing in the past several days was inserting Google Adsense for search on several sites. While the CTR on Adsense for content for my sites averages less than 2%, the CTR on Adsense for search the last few days has been over 20%. We’re not talking about a lot of money but based on that result I will make sure to prominently display Adsense for search on future sites and a few sites I haven’t yet placed any monetization for yet.
