I know it’s nice for domain name owners to spend countless hours promoting your own domain names you have for sale. Nothing is wrong with this….
Something else that I see nothing wrong with, is promoting the Domain Industry as a whole as well.
I spend countless hours a week promoting the domain industry, the value of domain names and why people should own certain domains.
I know this will not directly effect me today or tomorrow but the simple fact is, so many people do not know about domain names. The values in them, or that they "could" purchase a domain that is owned by somebody.
Domain owners need to start being less selfish and we need to Band Together and help promote the domain industry itself.
I ask that at least Once Per Day you help promote the domain industry as a whole.
You can do this by:
~ Using Twitter.com and write helpful things about domain names.
~ Inform somebody about Whois.sc, so they can contact a domain owner of a domain they simply think now of as "taken".
~ Use Facebook.com and let people know about Domaining.com, Sedo.com etc.
~ Use MySpace.com and teach somebody about domain forwarding.
~ Tell your neighbor about a recent domain name sale.
~ Tell people about DnJournal.com.
~ Use your blog, or a friends blog and write something helpful about domains.
~ Just tell somebody something about domain names.
This doesn’t have to take an hour. It can take a minute or less really!
Being helpful always works the best. If you can teach somebody a little something, it’s more likely they will listen.
With the domain community joining together to get the word out about domain names and helping educate the general public, in return will increase End User sales and the awareness of domain name. Yes, the very same domains that You Own!
For those who already do this, I Thank You! Keep up the great work!
Just once a day, help promote the Domain Industry as a whole. ALL domain owners will benefit in the long run!
Promoting and Educating the domain name industry is something we ALL need to do to help grow and allow more people to understand and become educated about the value of domain names and the domain industry.

Nice idea and concept but it won’t gain much momentum… Don’t even waste your time.
There has been many attempts to pull off something like this, by some of the most well respected and popular domain industry leaders, but it fails each and every time.
