America.com just did a press release and the first lines made No Sense! If you are paying for a Press Release, make sure you pick a good company and ask to Review what they are going to publish first. Ask 2-5 people to read it really.
Here is the first lines of the press release, that simply do not make sense..
"America.com is officially off the trading block! Internet Media Consultants SA, have decided to take the bull by the horns and spend$750,000 U.S Dollars, to purchase 20 of the super-premium domain name; "America.com"."
The bold part "to purchase 20 of the super-premium domain name; "America.com"." just simply makes No Sense. Later in the press release they talk about :
"With America.com, we realize we have a great opportunity and we look forward to the development and marketing in the upcoming weeks and months, says Belcastro."
But a lot of people never make it to the bottom of the article.. So somehow "to purchase 20 of the super-premium domain name, means Development! LOL

Hmm, from my reading of that I *think* they are saying that Internet Media Consultants, originally retained to sell the domain, has agreed to acquire and equity stake of 20% for $750k.
It’s possible the percent symbol got filtered out or is simply a typo.

Nice post – let’s see what will happen with America.com

Regarding the September 9 post on stupid press releases. I have written press releases for 15 years. I obtain the information, write an outline and have the client check it, then write the press release and have the client check it again. I have mostly written press releases for technology companies… it makes sense to find someone who isn’t ignorant about those topics! Thanks – my email is susan.p.clark@teq.com
