Only about a year ago the domain name industry was very secretive and not many tips or tricks were given out. With the popularity of blogs, a lot of this has changed.

Blogging is tough work, Trust Me! The only reason why I blog is because I love domain names, the domain industry and I love to help people in the industry or those thinking of joining.

Some of the great blogs that I visit on a daily basis are:

TheDomains.com This blog is wrote by Michael Berkins. Not only is Micheal a Great Guy, he knows domains very well. He’s also a Lawyer! Have you ever checked out his Amazing Inventory of domain names at MostWantedDomains.com ? Holy Shit!

DnJournal.com Although I do not really consider this a "blog", Ron Jackson has been around the journalism industry for some time and it clear shows! Ron also produces the weekly domain name sales report that has been viewed by Millions. I checkout his daily Lowdown as well as the popular Domain Sales reports.

DomainNameWire.com aka DNW.com . Andrew Allemann does one hell of a job with this great blog/news site. Andrew has been in the domain name industry since 1997 and has a vast range of knowledge. Again, this clearly shows by all the great things he writes!

ElliotsBlog.com Elliot shares a wide range of things but seems to have a bit more focus on domain development. A great all around blog with many helpful tips and tricks provided daily!

RicksBlog.com Rick Schwartz, the Domain King! Rick doesn’t post much any more but when he does, LISTEN!

Now there are several other blogs but these are the ones that I visit the most and always have the best info! So how can you show them your thanks for providing all this FREE and great info?

First, you can visit their blogs if you do not already as I know all appreciate their visitors. Secondly, if you see a service advertised that you would like to try or use, don’t be affraid to Click The Ad. Clicking an ad or an affiliated link on a site does not effect you in any way but helps keeping a blog alive. If the blog owner can make a couple bucks from you purchasing something, Great! That’s the way it’s suppose to work.

You can always use the contact links and just give a quick Thank You for what they do, as that’s very nice as well. Those kind words go a long ways, but is not done very often!

Side Note. If you haven’t visited BuyExpiringDomains.com (Buy Domains tab for the list) or the Expiring Domains tab right here on DotWeekly, why don’t you save some time and check out the Hand Picked expiring domain name lists that I provide. I update the list several times each week and each and every domain name is directly linked to it’s specific auction page! Yes, using these links helps keep DotWeekly alive as well ;)

    Jamie,

Your blog belongs right up there at the top of the list. Yours is the most hands-on, nuts-and-bolts and practical for domainers. You are also one of the nicest guys.

Thank you and keep up the good work!

Definitely agree! You provide a lot of raw-information (selling domains, e-mail inquiries, re-selling advice, etc) that’s absolutely great for a lot of readers. The experience stories on dotweekly are Grade A!

There isn’t too many good domain blogs out there with original content, but those you listed definitely some of the best.

I like Michael Gilmour’s Whizzbang and Sahar Sarid’s blogs as well :)

    Best,

    Mike

You always offer honest, useful information. I learned a lot form your blog and really don’t miss anything you write. You are one of the heroes of the information age for domaining.

Blogging probably forces you to stay informed and gives some feedback you might not otherwise get. In any case, you don’t have to post every day. Your posts are known to be informative, so even if you post only once every 4-5 days, when domainers see your post on Domaining.com, they will check it out. Thanks for the tips and continued fortune with your business.
