Can domain name flipping still be done in this current market? Where can domain names be flipped? How do I do it?

It really depends on the time/effort you want to put in. Flipping can be easy and you should be able to do it in any kind of market. It ALL depends on the domains (keywords) you are trying to flip & price you are asking.

The domains you are flipping can really come from any place you can find deals. Hand Reg’s, Drop Catching, TDNAM, SnapNames, Forums etc.

Sometimes flipping domain names is as easy as doing a Google search using keyword(s) in your domain you are looking to flip. Look at people who are advertising for the term, find their contact links on their sites and send them a Short, To The Point email. This email should contain a Clear Price, easy way to purchase the domain and safe way to make payment so the buyer has no fear in making the purchase! Provide Facts with as little "fluff" as you can!

Prices are key into flipping any domain name, no matter what price you paid for it. If you as the buyer have done your job when buying the domain in the first place, you should have room to play.

You have to give the buyer the feeling of getting a STEAL! Giving the buyer the feeling of getting a steal, normally leads to YOU leaving room in the price for the buyer to make money if they decide to sell in the near future. You as the current seller, have to be "ok" with the fact that the buyer could be making money on the domain name.

You are flipping for a reason! PROFIT!

Where are some places I can flip domain names?

The best place is the function that I stated near the top. Using Google and or Yahoo and hitting up Advertisers via their sites based on the keywords they are currently advertising for. Don’t be sneaky. Talk clear and straight!

eBay can be used to flip domains as well, but I suggest using the Buy It Now feature. There is risk, because nearly everybody on eBay wants to pay via PayPal and PayPal does not offer that much security for a "virtual seller". Keep in mind that selling on eBay will involve Listing fees and Final Value Fees!

Domain Forums. Yes and No. If it’s a "domainers" type domain or a hot market other domainers know about, flipping can take place on domain forums. Keep in mind that domainers are Domainers! They have very likely flipped themself at somepoint and also know a good deal when they see one. It’s all about Pricing on Domain Forums if you want to flip.

Get creative! Build a small site and build a network of domain buyers. Get the word out via Blogs, Social Networking, Domain Forums, eBay, How to make money forums, blogs etc. Put up a newsletter on this little site you create.! Make it plain and simple. The ones who sign up for the newsletter get to see the domains for sale. Keep the prices Cheap and the Domains good. You will get attention. I did this early on when I was a full time flipper but just did it via email. I used ebay to sell a lot of domain names. I was sure to save email address of every domain name that I sold. The emails I sent out Worked and I flipped A Lot of domains.

Back in May, I also wrote about the Good and Bad of Domain Name Flipping and might be worth a read as well.
