Sedo.com has listed another large six figure domain name sale and this time it is Server.com for $770,000! Server.com is the 6th highest domain name sale of 2009 with the other top 5 all being 7 Figures.
The other top 5 sales of 2009 so far are as follows:
- Toys.com $5.1 Million
- Candy.com $3 Million
- Fly.com $1.76 Million
- Auction.com $1.7 Million
- Webcam.com $1.02 Million
Amazingly enough, Sedo.com has had a total of 6 of the current top 10 domain name sales this year according to DnJournal.com’s YTD sales chart.
You may remember the last six figure domain sales that I wrote about were Keyboard.com and Mouse.com which also sold on Sedo. Keyboard.com and Mouse.com according to Whois records now show the domain owner as Gary Lam. When I reported the sales before, the new owner had not been listed yet in whois.
Server.com was first registered in 1994. The domain name current resolves to a standard Godaddy parked page!……
Server.com was last owned by Sean Brunnock and the current whois data is privacy protected. Congrats goes out the Sean and the new buyers whoever you are!

I wonder how much godaddy makes just by having that name there ?
It had something like 30k uniques per day if i remember correctly.
