I hust copy and paste the blog name and add .com.

To make this a site where we have to create an account to view the blogs was a big mistake. I dont feel like logging in, thats for sure.

Oh well, they had a good thing going. Time for someone else to come along and keep it free of hassle.

Meant to say…”I just go directly to the blog when I see a post I want to read”.

I’ve taken Domaining.com off my personal list of sites I visit regularly. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s registering for sites to be able to use it. Especially, like in this case, where I can’t see a benefit on my end for registering. It was a nice gateway to click around and find some new blogs and domaining news, but I find it silly that I need to create an account and log in to click through to another site.

I’m know complaining won’t get me anywhere, and I’ll only have to sign up once, but it’s an inconvenience to sign up on a site where it’s completely unnecessary to do so. If there are new features in mind later down the road, implement the registrations when those features are actually ready.

I signed up but I’m having second thoughts about this now. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth that THEY DID NOT TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THIS BEFOREHAND. You and Steve Morales were the only people to even mention it. I have read the explanation of their plans after the fact but I wish the administrators of Domaining. com would have informed readers first. The days of clinging to those old IBM ways of doing business where the users and readers don’t matter are over and it’s just common courtesy to inform your readers.

I know everybody has to make money and that nobody’s forcing us to read, blah, blah, blah and that’s not the point. What I’ll do from now on is simply read my favorite sites from my rss feed, I can get the same information. My problem solved.

I am not a big fan of it either. It will likely hurt Domaining.com and the many sites that fill domaining.com with content traffic wise. We will see what the upgrades are……

WQ — I’ve been doing the same thing, that is, copying the blog name and adding .com or .blogspot.com. I’ll probably start a small page that I’ll keep around for personal use — or just make better use of my Bookmarks folder.
