DomainTools.com offers a tool called Advanced Auction which provides domain name lists that are broken domain by domain age 9+ years old, 2-5 Character, 6-10 Character, Yahoo listed, Dmoz listed and also allows you to use several search functions.

The Advanced Auction tool is set up with Network Solutions domain names that are Pre-Release at NameJet.com .

Ignore the text on the site, as it is outdated. Another issue are the "auction dates", as they are off by a day. In order to beat the order deadline, you will need to be looking at lists 1 day After today’s date to be able to backorder / place a bid on a specific domain name.

I like several things this tool offers, but yes there are other tools available.

I like this tool because the lists are broken down by The Day. Since they are broken down by the day, it can cut your list size down that you have to look through. Since a lot of domain names get renewed before they even go to auction, why waste your time backordering domain names as soon as they get on NameJet. In the end, you will be wasting some time in doing so, as several of the domain names will get renewed and never go to auction.

The Advanced Auction Tool provides about 30 days of domain data but anything beyond the nearest 3 dates is not "full" data. You will notice the closest 3 dates hold the largest lists. Since the Auction Date is off by 1 day, you really have 2 days of lists to use that you can still place a bid / backorder the domain.

It’s not a "perfect tool" but is a nice option to use. Play around with it and you may like it better then other tools that you currently use or have tried.

For backordering or placing a bid, I simply copy the domain (highlight, right click, copy) and have Namejet open in another tab and paste the domain into the pre-release search box.
