DomainTools.com has been down for the majority of the day. I checked it earlier today and got a server error and the page didn’t load. I tried to access the site several hours later and the same thing happened. Since Whois.sc also simply forwards to whois.domaintools.com, that is also not working.
I sent a quick email to Susan Prosser of DomainTools.com who is at the current T.R.A.F.F.I.C. domain show in Canada and she stated that DT’s upstream provider is down, which has taken down their site.
No word on when the site will be back up and running but downtime is simply something that happens with websites from time to time.
DomainTools.com is an extremely popular service, so I’m sure a lot of people who use the site daily feel a little lost with the site down.. like myself!
Update: 7:25 PM CT, Still Down! Must be at least 12 hours by now or at least getting close to that!
Update: As of at least 6:48 AM CT Friday, DomainTools.com is back up!

I knew you be on top of it….I use this tool daily and man thanx for the update…Dont stop what your doing man!!! Honestly your the hardest working man in the domain biz and I think many take you for granted (sp)
