Here are a couple things I am thinking this weekend about domain names that either captured my eye, thought about or are working on.
~ I noticed END.net sold on Sedo for $2,250 USD. I think somebody got a pretty darn good deal on that one!

Then you notice RefinanceRates.com for $30K . Not so sure I like the price tag on this one…. Refinance or Refinancing? It is interesting to see advertisers using Sub Domains for their ads on Google matching the Refinance Rates term….

Back2Work.com was a waste of money at $3,750 IMO and the type of domain the site owner is really Forced into owning ALL of the combinations to prevent missed traffic. BackToWork.com, BackTooWork.com and Back2Work.com
End.net and BabyNames.net were both the best buys IMO, even though they were .net’s.
~ The popular domain name forum NamePros.com rolled out a large list of upcoming Live Domain Auctions at the forum. You can get more details on the auctions using that link. Several different "styles" of auctions like No Reserve, Short Domains. I counted 21 total auctions.
The first auction kicks off Monday June 29, 2009 at 3PM ET. It’s a No Reserve auction with auction starting prices being the "reserves". I would have to assume the auctions will be run in NamePros Live Chat as it has in the past. Currently, the last auction is Sep 17, 2009.
~ I spent a good part of last week working on a new site that I will be using "more locally" to offer domain name consulting. I went with the domain name KeyFactor.com for the site / service because I think:
a.) Getting domain name consulting if you are uneducated on domain names before buying your domain name can be a key factor!
b.) A domain name is a key factor in the online puzzle.
I currently only have a mock logo up to give the designer an idea of what I am looking for, but the Professional one should be done shortly. I also need to find a nice "forms" plugin for the contact us page, fix a button and remove the "recent blog post" box near the bottom of the home page on the right.
I used WordPress for the site and I think it has a nice professional "site" look to it. I have a couple small things I need to tweak but it’s almost done.
~ I think my next development project is going to be….. PremiumLogos.com . I will be offering premium car parts! NOT…. LOL, Logos of course.
Company Logos, Website Logos etc. More to come shortly as things get rolling, but I have to finish up KeyFactor.com first.

That theme is getting a lot of play lately. Interested to see what you do with PremiumLogos.

PremiumLogos.com might make more money as a logo development site. Maybe even an affiliate site.
Halo Jones
I’ll be there for sure!

@Samit,
just not 100% sure how I’m going to set everything up yet, but I have a pretty good idea in mind. I adjusted my logos Joke as well… the car parts thing was a joke
.. Like people offering things with domain names that really make no sense to what they are offering
PremiumLogos.com Will offer Logo’s

Have you started advertising KeyFactor.com? When you say “locally”, you mean Greenbay? What kind of advertising are you using to advertise locally?
Jamie Zoch
@Viqi,
I have not started advertising in anyway for KeyFactor.com yet as I am not fully finished with the site yet. I do want it to get indexed a little better on SE’s before I do advertise it. I will be using some local “tweet up” groups from Twitter and also a business Linkedin group of business owners as well for now.
