Here is another round of my DotWeekly Discoveries that includes new domain name registrations and acquired domain names by large companies. A nice mix today of hand registration and acquires of some interesting domain names. ServPro dropped some bucks as you will see in the list.

Here we go!

Zynga

Hand registered ZyngaBingo.com and RewardvilleBingo.com . They also hand registered ZyngaCorp.com . The ZyngaBingo.com didn’t surprise me all that much but the RewardvilleBingo.com did a little. Why Zynga hasn’t purchased Rewardsville.com, I’m not sure but I would expect them to be losing a fair amount of traffic to it. They own the singular version Rewardville.com yet for that domain they forward it to the plural term rewards.zynga.com . The ZyngaCorp.com is a bit interesting, since Zynga is incorporated currently according to its site, so they may be considering to switch to a corporation.

Kellogg’s

Hand registered PoptartStix.com and PoptartTix.com . Back in 2002 Kellogg had Poptart Snak-Stix but I couldn’t find anything related to the product recently on the Kellogg’s site.

ConAgra

Hand registered ManwhichRecipes.com and several combinations of spellings of the keywords. They also hand registered several combinations to BanquetRecipes.com which is another brand name they own.

Transitions Optical

Hand registered Hswfy.com . No clue what the heck that is, other than a 5 character domain.

Gamesys Ltd.

Hand registered PlayRedOrBlack.com and PlayRedOrBlackOnline.com

ServPro

Hand registered Hundreds (over 900!) of ServPro+GEO domains like ServProWinchester.com and ServProBelair.com .

Bayer

Hand registered several domain names relating to its Contour diabetic meter like BayerCountourNext.com, BayerCountourLink.com, BayerContourNextLink.com, BayerContourNextEdge.com, ContourLink.com, ContourNext.com and several more. Bayer hand registers a lot of domain names.

American Express

Appears to have acquired SocialCurrency.com using the lawfirm LEYDIG, VOIT & MAYER, LTD to do so. The domain appears to have been purchased from MilkshakeMedia.com on or about April 15, 2011.

Unilever

Hand registered GetIntoTheMove.com

Pepsi

Renewed Pepsi.org after letting it hit expire date.

Unknown

The following are some domain names that were purchased or hand registered but I wasn’t able to see which company was behind the purchase(s). The domains were likely purchased by larger companies:

Purchased Xout.com on Sedo.com for $55,000.

Hand registered ByeByeAmericanExpress.com

PowerWall.com appears to have been acquired.

StudyBug.com appears to have been purchased by a "secret buyer" using the name "Kate Spade" and the email address spade@mirmaco.com . The same "Kate Spade" had her hand in the purchase of CVSL.com on or about March 31, 2011.

    @Bulls,
    I’m not a GEO domainer, so one of those maybe better to answer that question. I often see it as toss up but one would have to think as the searcher does… GAKT may shed some light.

    @Ken,
    It would likely have something to do with “Glasses” as that is what the company sells. Or Lenses.

    @Vincent,
    That makes sense, even though I’m not a fan of the domain…. hard to remember. It could also be Hot Sexy White Fruit Yogurt LOL

    I find you threads interesting…
    I don’t recall ever seeing this sort of information – shared on any other Domain related websites.. Unique Content – that’s NICE…
