So what kind of money do you make off that many visitors?

    @ Troy,
That’s a good question and I can answer it pretty easily. Domainers Are Cheap. They think “ads” or affiliated links are Time Bombs. Since DotWeekly is focused on Domains and mainly Domainers use the site, Rev is Low!

Affiliate programs pay for shit, since not that many people use the ads on the site. I “could” make more selling ad spots, but then I feel I HAVE to write daily.

I can make One Post, get it ranked and make more money with One Post using an affiliate different then domains then ALL ads, links, banners combined.

It might be more difficult to do this but you might try incorporating Adsense or affiliate links within the blog posts. Blog readers are focused on the article and tend to filter out the ads on the side. When you watch a tv show which ads do you pay more attention to – the ones before and after the program or the ones in the middle?

    @ Leonard,
I do try to include text links when I can. It’s a fine line of going overboard, but I agree text links work the best. Domainers just Hoover and see the link location. If it’s an affiliate link, I think most do not click for some reason. Even though it will not effect them in any way.

    Well done, Jamie!

Regarding domainers being a very difficult crowd to make money from, you’re absolutely right! :) They just know about everything about online advertising, and they are very reluctant when it comes to clicking on any ad.
