In my continued efforts of trying to drive more domain name sales, I took several domains and moved them to ActiveAudience.com for parking and directing my For Sale links to the specific domain listing on Afternic.

In settings, you are able to put any link you choose, which will direct your visitors to a specific page if they click the For Sale link that you choose.  The reason I like this is, AA might be the only parking service that allows you put a link like this for Each Domain. Fabulous.com allows One link for all of your listed domains, but not for specific domains.

So what happens when a visitor goes to one of my domains? If they are interested in buying it (Afternic says most interested parties visit the domain directly) they simply click the This Domain Maybe For Sale (you can also add any line you wish) link in  upper right hand corner. Once clicking on this link, they will then see the Afternic listing page. A Buy It Now price and a minimum offer, phone number to contact, ask seller a question etc.

The BIGGEST downfall to Afternic, is the interested party has to have an account with Afternic to make an offer or contact you. It only cost $1 but is still a downfall. The upside to this, your offers you do get… should be Very Real!

It does take a little work in getting everything set up, adding domains, links, prices, categories etc, but it couldn’t be easier for the customer to BUY! So how is it working so far? Let’s take a look at a couple domains.

KidsCards.com I have a minimum offer of $750 and a Buy It Now of $3,850. According to AA’s stats for July so far, 72 Uniques~181 Visitors~45 Clicks. So a 63% CTR on Ads. According to Afternic, KidsCards.com has 6 Visits to it’s listing page. So of the 72 Uniques, 6 people (could of) clicked the buy link. 12%. I had Zero questions, Zero offers.

Dabbler.com I have a minimum offer of $750 and a Buy It Now of $4,800. So far this month, 920 Uniques~1,217 Visitors~24 Clicks. So a 3% CTR. According to Afternic, 43 visits to the listing page. Zero questions, Zero offers. It is very important to note that when I had Dabbler.com listed on Fabulous.com I would get 2-4 offers a Week!

Several others that I have set up the same way have 14-10 visits to the listing page on Afternic. A good deal have 4-6 visits etc.

I am not going to give up on this method yet, but so far nothing has panned out. I didn’t really expect a sale yet, since most of my prices are geared towards end users, but I do have my minimum offers set at $750… still no offers. That part suprised me a little. I think Fabulous.com payout is better then AA’s as my revenue was much better with Fab then AA and I was getting a good deal more offers using Fabulous (free to send offers). I will let this system work for 2 months and do another follow up then.

Jamie, how does Fabulous’s revenue compare to Sedo’s?

    **Jamie Says**
I don’t even think Sedo compares At All to Fabulous! Fabulous is 10 x’s better then Sedo IMO and I think the rev will speak for itself.

    Thanks for that, Jamie.

Have you used and do you like TrafficZ?

    **Jamie Says**
I have never used them Tony. They must do pretty well, they sponsor just about everthing! Just purchased DomainTools.com, Aftermarket.com is going to be a new auction service for them etc…
