Freshdrop.net complies large lists of domain names with the most popular domain auction services and provides metrics (domain age, PR, Links etc) with the domain names. The service has always been half free and half fee based.

The most popular services (and many without an affiliate program) were in the paid service section like NameJet.com, Pool.com and SnapNames.com .

The site started with a focus on Godaddy domain names and offers two different feeds: Closeouts ($5 auctions) and Expired. The expired feed is the better of the two and by my guess was always the most popular on Freshdrop. It was a feed that I used the most for searching expired domain names at Godaddy Auctions and I’m sure many others as well.

The Expired Godaddy feed on Freshdrop.net has now moved to part of the Paid Service (Pro) and is no longer offered for free.

In order to use the Godaddy expired feed again on Freshdrop, you will need to be a "Pro Member" which runs $87.65 per month. With the Pro Membership, you would also have access to all feeds in Freshdrop.

It is never fun for those who used the free service and then have it move to a paid service but that is part of life. If you feel you really need the service, you will have to pay the near $90 a month. (I thought the Pro Membership was cheaper, around $40 a month, but the only price point I could find is the $87.65 on the "join now" page.) If you used it before, but not all that much, I wouldn’t consider paying the fees.

Looking for different options?

PremiumDrops.com offers Godaddy lists with metrics and the major auction feeds as well. The monthly price is $24.95 . I had used PremiumDrops.com back in beta when it was free, but have not used it lately.

Estibot.com offers "some" lists with metrics but membership level makes a difference, so be sure to know what you are getting before you pay.

There were some newer sites that offer domain lists with metrics that I was aware of but I failed in the process of finding them. If you are aware of some, please do share by leaving a comment.

I really like Domain Stryker. It’s clean and simple and sortable. I didn’t want to link bomb your comments but they’ll be able to find it

For sure, if there is any other free or light payemnt option please advise……Godady list all domains for free so paying $87 for a breakdown is crazy

I just checked out Domain Stryker and it would be nice to see a “sample list” or have a better idea of what the lists look like. Everything that I clicked on sent me to the Member sign in page. I didn’t see a price list to get this lists and so on..

    I have a FreshDrop Review.

FreshDrop is a scam. They say its free but then when you register it will keep prompting you to pay. Once you are a member they continue to change plans.

It use to be a great service but now they are going downhill.

I do not recommend them at all.

Watch out and do not get scammed by Freshdrop.net

I would have to agree with above comments. Sad to say but so long freshdrop. They no longer let you access Godaddy expired names.

Glad I found a better service now

Well now that Freshdrop is out of the question. Where is the best free service to use?

GoDrops will be beefing up the stats on pending delete names for starters… with support for other extensions coming online.

With the GoDaddy expired names… I’m guessing GoDaddy doesn’t provide the lists to anybody (I’ve called them and they’ve said no), so services like FreshDrop.net must be screen-scraping the TDNAM site, right?

PremiumDrops provides Godaddy, PendingDelete, RGP, Hold, Snap, NameJet, Sedo and Available lists updated daily since 2006. $24.95/month. Didn’t mean to spam, but figured you guys may be interested.

I cancelled my freshdrop sub of $37pm within the 10 day trial, i.e. I did not think FreshDrop was worth $37… $87 is a joke.

    @Jason,
I have access to the expired domains from Godaddy ;) so I would say no that Freshdrop is scraping them.

This is really a pain, i just visited freshdrop and couldn’t access the godaddy feed like i have been doing for the last year or so, really frustrated freshdrop was a great service and surely they must have been making some decent money from the godaddy affiliate links when you buy the domains, I think they have shot themselves in the foot by making the most popular function paid and a very pricy membership at that – i won’t be using their once fantastic site ever again – or until it becomes free again …. lol
Merry Christmas to everyone except freshdrop

    Check out http://dropace.com/godaddy-expiring-domains
    and http://dropace.com/godaddy-closeouts

    You might like it.

It costs only … nada … zilch … free

I checked it out and dropace doesn’t show the metrics Freshdrop does. It appears DropAce provides just about the same details Godaddy’s site does with the addition of Length, Hyphen and No Hyphen but that’s it. Domain age is helpful and clearly others.

How can I get the coupon code of Freshdrop.net?

  20. Jamie Zoch
    Jan 20, 2010

I am not sure if Freshdrop offers any coupons or not. I guess I have never seen one myself. I would contact them directly and make them your offer (10% off) and you will sign up etc.

Freshdrop did a big mistake by closing the godaddy feed. Looking for powerful competitors to take over their business.

Can’t believe Freshdrop is making you pay a high monthly fee to access the godaddy closeouts. As if they don’t make enough from the commission every time we buy a name from them. With all the other competition out there this is only going to hurt them.

  23. If freshdrop was like 9.95 a month I would pay it. I have enen email them and they do not reply.
Thanks for all the alternatives now.
