Here is an interesting domain name, Find.net has went to auction at Sedo.com on a $25,000 USD bid with the auction ending December 28th. The owner of the domain name states in the description area:
- Short domain: only 4 letters
- Huge natural Search Traffic: 4,500 Typeins per Month
Only 4 letters, really? 4,500 "natural search traffic" is "Huge"? I guess I personally have never heard of Natural Search Traffic myself, but I have to assume they are talking about Direct Navigation.
I had to play on those two things a little bit
but it’s still a nice domain! It is a .net but it still is an interesting keyword for sure.
One other thing that I noticed over at Sedo after the new site has rolled out, it’s a little harder to even find all the domain names that are currently On Auction! In order to find this section. From the Sedo.com home page, you will want to click the following:
- Resources
- Market activity
- Under the Latest Bids section, click Auction Schedule
- Marketplace Auction
I am not sure why Sedo has made it pretty hard to find there current auctions running, but that is how you find them if you were wondering. You can also just bookmark this link http://sedo.com/search/searchresult.php4?tracked=&partnerid=&language=us&listing_type=auctions_only , as that is the auctions link.
I think for a seller that uses Sedo Auctions and sends domain names to auction on a lower bid then they would normally sell for directly and hoping for the price to go up during the auction… the new redesign has hurt your chances a little bit, because it’s much harder for users of the site to even find the auction domains now. The old site design had a list of domains currently on auction and you could easily click and see all auction from the home page. Now you can not.
If you are promoting any auction, it is always best to provide people with a direct link to your specific auction page.

Find.net works really well as a branded search site.
I like it. Search sites are pretty hard to monetize though!

Find.com happens to be just that. A search engine. I agree that it could be hard to monetize but it all depends on what they put up for a site.

Hi Jamie ,
The Sedo.com new interface sucks ! It is not easy to use nor attractive like before , especially the auction page , which is not in one page that you can scroll down and pass over the lines within seconds as it used to be before , now the auction page is a split into many pages , and you have to click on each page after page and to wait for a while to find the auction for a specific domain , I get nausea each time I check their auction page , As a Pharmacist Domainer I recommend each domainer to take Pepto-Bismol before checking Sedo’s Auction page to avoid sudden Nausea and Abdominal cramps !

I think your user name speaks for how much I like it as well.
If you use Firefox, you can always scroll to the bottom of the page where it shows the page numbers, click and hold Ctrl and left click your mouse on each page number. That will open up new tabs for each specific page. Not sure that’s any easier or will prevent the nausea
